Basic ship theory (Vol. 2. Ship dynamics and design)

Basic ship theory (Vol. 2. Ship dynamics and design) Since it was first published in 1968, Basic Ship Theory has become established as the standard introductory text for students of naval architecture and a reference book for the more experienced designer. Volume 2 expands on the basic concepts covered in Volume 1. It discusses the dynamic behaviour of marine vehicles, hydrodynamics, manoeuvrability and seakeeping. It concludes with a discussion of maritime design and of some particular ship types. It hightlights the environment and how ship and human interaction with it affects safety and pollution issues.
